The Malawi Research and Education Network (MAREN) is bidding a heartfelt farewell to its Network Engineer, Mwiza Mhango, as he embarks on a new chapter in his professional journey.
This week, Mhango officially announced his departure from MAREN after accepting a new role at the Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Programme, marking his last day with MAREN on Wednesday, 13th December 2023.
Mhango, joind MAREN in February 2022 as a consultant from the Public Private Partnership Commission (PPPC) and played a pivotal role in establishing and strengthening MAREN’s internet network infrastructure.
Reflecting on his time at MAREN, Mhango stated: “I am immensely grateful for the opportunities and experiences I’ve had at MAREN. The decision to leave was not easy, but I am excited about the challenges that lie ahead. I would like to express my deepest appreciation to my colleagues at MAREN, who have been an incredible support throughout. I am grateful that I am within the research and education community, which means I will still be collaborating with colleagues at MAREN.”
Solomon Dindi, CEO of MAREN, remarked, “It is with mixed emotions that we see Mwiza leave. His dedication and technical skills have left an indelible mark on our organization. On top of that, Mwiza is a friendly person who got along with everyone at MAREN. However, we wish him the best of luck as he progresses professionally.”
To honor Mhango’s contributions, MAREN’s Blantyre office perfomed a farewell gesture, allowing colleagues to bid him a fitting goodbye.
Business Development Officer, Sheena Litta, who joined MAREN alongside Mhango, extended her best wishes, saying, “I wish Mhango the best of luck in his future endeavors. It was a pleasure working with him for the past year or so.”
Network Infrastructure Manager, Alexius Chipwalamwazani, added, “Mhango is an easy-going person with high levels of professionalism. For the time we have worked together, we have achieved collective success as MAREN, with a high level of satisfaction from our customers.”
MAREN expresses gratitude to Mwiza Mhango for his exceptional contributions and wishes him success in all his future undertakings.
