The Malawi Research and Education Network (MAREN) in April attended the University of Malawi (UNIMA) Editech fair and showcased technological services, products and solutions to the research and education community.
The fair, dubbed EdtechUnima@2023 and organised by the Education Foundations Department of the School of Education, was held on 22 April, 2023 at the UNIMA Campus in Zomba.
MAREN attended the fair in partnership with Huawei with whom they held a joint booth and showcased products and services.
The fair included a plenary session which featured presentations from various research and education stakeholders who presented on accessing research funds and pitching research and education business ideas among others.
“We are really pleased with how the fair went,” said Sheena Litta, MAREN’s Business Development Officer who welcomed patrons and guests at the MAREN and Huawei booth.
“It was a great opportunity to connect with our customers and partners and to showcase our products and innovations. The attendance and turn up of the patrons both at the fair and our pavilions was wonderful. We managed to interact with many patrons who have now been introduced to our brand and services,” said Litta.
In particular, MAREN and HUAWEI innovative products and technologies drew a lot of attention from attendees. The two organisations provided detailed and engaging product demonstrations, highlighting the unique features and benefits of their solutions including MAREN’s High Perfomance Computing facility and Huawei’s ideaHubs.
